Recipe provides a delicious and quick alternative for preparing macaroni and cheese, a longtime favorite that will be enjoyed by people of all ages!

Macaroni and Cheese has been a long-standing favorite dish with kids and adults alike. Once thought of as a quick and cheap dish, 'designer' Macaroni and Cheese is now making its way onto the menus of exclusive restaurants around the world. As a result of growing trends and popularity, there have been a number of variations created on the macaroni and cheese dish. Alternative recipes may call for broccoli or other vegetables and meats to be added to change texture and flavor. However, the original macaroni and cheese dish has remained a constant in the hearts (and stomachs) of many people across the world.

The quickest and perhaps the most common and well known method of preparing Macaroni and Cheese is the Kraft macaroni and cheese kit. This contains boxed ingredients consisting of elbow macaroni with a cheese powder that is to be blended with milk and butter to form the cheese sauce. This kit has been an efficient means of preparation for many due to the minimal prep and cooking times required. There are also frozen macaroni and cheese entrees that are prepared in under five minutes via microwave. While these mac and cheese dishes may certainly suffice as an addition to the meal, there are other ways to quickly prepare and enjoy this dish while still giving it the 'homemade' taste and appeal.

The following is a recipe for homemade baked macaroni and cheese in less than thirty minutes made from the comfort of your own oven! This dish will be a perfect addition to compliment most chicken, steak and beef dishes. It has even grown in popularity to become a main entrée all on its own. The dish can be enjoyed in any number of ways and is a crowd pleaser. Bon Appetit!
